Short Story Surprise Me! Golden Ticket Competition Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. Introduction

1.1. The Short Story Surprise Me! Golden Ticket ("Competition") is organised by Short Story ("Promoter").

1.2. By participating in the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Eligibility

2.1. The Competition is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

2.2. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members, as well as any persons directly or indirectly connected with the Competition, are not eligible to enter.

  1. Entry

3.1. To enter the Competition, participants must purchase a "Little Surprise! Box, Big Surprise! Box or SUPER Surprise!" ("Product") from Short Story via shortstory.com.au.

3.2. Each purchase of a Product entitles the participant to one entry into the Competition.

3.3. The Competition Period begins on 11 May 2023  at 7:00PM AEST and ends when all golden tickets are exhausted.

  1. Golden Tickets and Prizes

4.1. During the Competition Period, a total of 105 golden tickets ("Golden Tickets") will be randomly awarded to customers who have purchased a Little Surprise!, Big Surprise! or SUPER Surprise! Box.

4.2. Each Golden Ticket corresponds to a specific prize, as follows:

  1. a) 1x Nintendo Switch OLED
  2. b) 1x Apple iPhone 14 [128GB, White]
  3. c) 1x Apple Watch SE GPS 40mm Starlight
  4. d) 2x $500 Short Story e-gift card
  5. e) 100x $35 Short Story e-gift card

4.3. The Golden Tickets will be randomly distributed among the Product purchases. The Promoter will not be responsible for any technical issues or errors affecting the distribution of Golden Tickets.

  1. Prize Redemption

5.1. Winners of the Golden Tickets must follow the instructions provided to claim their prize.

5.2. Prize winners will be required to provide proof of purchase of the Product and any other information reasonably requested by the Promoter to verify eligibility.

5.3. All prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. No cash alternatives will be offered.

5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so.

  1. Winner Announcement

6.1. The Promoter will notify the winners by either email, phone or mail within 30 days of the draw.

6.2. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner.

 

  1. Publicity

7.1. By participating in the Competition, winners agree to the use of their name, likeness, and/or photograph for promotional and marketing purposes related to the Competition, without any further payment or compensation.

  1. Limitation of Liability

8.1. The Promoter, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any participant as a result of entering or participating in the Competition or accepting any prize.

  1. Data Protection and Privacy

9.1. The Promoter will collect and process participants' personal information in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

9.2. By entering the Competition, participants consent to the collection, storage, and use of their personal information by the Promoter for the purposes of administering the Competition and fulfilling prize obligations.

9.3. The Promoter will not disclose participants' personal information to any third party without their prior consent, except as required by law.

  1. General Conditions

10.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice, for any reason beyond its control or if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Competition is not capable of being conducted as intended.

10.2. The Promoter's decision on all matters relating to the Competition, including but not limited to the eligibility of participants, the selection of winners, and the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, shall be final and binding.

10.3. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the participant and the Promoter regarding the Competition and supersede any prior understandings or agreements, whether oral or written.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

11.1. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

11.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Competition shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
